There are some places it seems you just can’t do a thing with and I have one of those places along side our chain link fence. I have tried for the last five years to plant everything from trees and shrubs to all kinds of flowers and vines. It either looks terrible and scraggly or doesn’t grow at all. So this spring I bought a set of pot holders that you would normally clamp onto a deck rail. The people I bought them from helped me figure out a way to hook them onto the chain link fence so I could place flower pots on the fence itself to give it some color and I love it!

I have had several people make comments about how clever it was to hang pots from the fence. One of them was hung low in order to plant English ivy and it has grown up along the fence in great style. I actually bought some more just the other day to hang pots on the front of the chain link fence as well. It’s not so much that nothing works there it’s just that I like the look. Now I am working on some window boxes on our front window sills and can’t wait to see the finished product!

Fourth generation artist Nicole Etienne paints in a style that marries traditional elements of still life painting with a lack of strict geometric perspective – the influence of cubism. Her paintings have an spirited, contemporary feel that reflects the artist’s own personality. It was as a student at the Lorenzo de Medici School of Art in Florence, Italy that her style really began to develop and her work began to come into its own. Tapestry, Etienne’s Green Apple shows off one of her series of studies of fruit that is now available as a tapestry wall hanging from Decor4u.com. The image of an apple, green tones shading to red, fills almost the entire piece. The dark green leaves blend subtly with the dark background. The word “apple” is chalked in script underneath. The subtle, elegant tones of the tapestry will suit any room in the house.

Come to Decor4u.com and visit the Tapestry Shop. You will find Etienne’s Green Apple under Modern Wall Hangings in the Food & Wine section. This high quality wall hanging is woven of 100% cotton and measures 35 inches high by 35 inches wide. It can be dry cleaned. Add your own personal touch of style by selecting a rod and tassels from the Tapestry Accessories area at Decor4u.com.
