Of course, I found out that finials are everywhere.  If you look closely, they are all around your neighborhood and on TV and movies in droves lending beauty and detail to the environment.  In fact, you can find decorative finials on banisters, flag poles and decks.  They are not just for fences.  I should know as I now have incorporated finials inside and out and find them utterly fascinating.  The workmanship and beauty that is discovered in every one of them is masterful.  I prefer the hand-crafted but there are those that are machine made and both can be painted or stained as you choose.  They are both fun and fancy and easy to enjoy.
